It's the return of Madlib's alter ego, the mighty Lord Quas! Since Madlib unveiled Quasimoto back in 2000 on The Unseen, he's gone through an epic journey as a producer. From legendary collaborations with Doom and J Dilla, to producing jazz as Yesterday's New Quintet, and releasing numerous beat albums and mixtapes, Madlib has proved his beat genius is legit. Now on Yessir Whatever, the Quasimoto alias emerges once again on a collection of rare, out-of-print vinyl-only cuts and unreleased joints recorded over a 12 year span. Expect the same blunted beats and bugged-out cartoon raps that made the first two Quas albums hot box classics. Roll it up, take two and pass! Recommended.
