“He didn’t come with a limited capacity, and real producers produce, produce, and produce. There are no formats for genius workers… just non-stop creations.” - Ma Dukes. J Dilla lived and breathed beats, working on his craft day and night before his untimely passing in 2006. Dillatronic collects a portion of the fruits of his unflinching dedication, and these previously unreleased sonic sketches paint a larger picture of the Detroit beatsmith's genius, the one that is still and truly missed today. There are 40 rare tracks on this record, and they showcase "Dilla's undeniable electronic influences," perhaps something that attests to his surroundings: Detroit & the rich music tradition of the city. Put the record on, "turn it up," and soak in the supreme grooves that ensue.
