"Gelato is ambitious, an album that wears its admiration for geniuses like Prince and D'Angelo on its sleeve. It gathers up the very particular experiences of a Gen Z kid from L.A. who inherited his restless, wide-roaming musical taste from his Korean immigrant father. It's an album that delights in discovering new sounds and feelings, for attempting the colossal task of pinning down those difficult-to-name emotions that hide between words. 'All the things I needed to say are on here, just in case I die young," Ryan says. Somehow, he doesn't sound morbid. It's just the truth." - Youth Biking Global
